The TYRO success is mostly due to the continuing efforts Paul and Val joint manage.
There is everything at this event: brilliant Sunshine, plenty of water, and from what I have seen ‘is well enjoyed by everyone’.
Two courses are set out and driven in both directions. the level of driving has improved year on year but there is as much for the beginner as the seasoned participant.
When we run a Tyro that is what the event is hired for - Practice areas are set up. We would ask participants refrain from open driving whilst the events are being run, Its hard enough having to marshal the event without having to keep an eye on other activities going on. Especially where children are wandering about; and we don’t want to upset site owners.
There is always an opportunity to have a drive round whilst we are changing the course; or clearing away the site - for those that participated and paid towards the event these driving areas are included; any other driving that takes place will have to contribute towards the event. Check with the course marshals before any driving takes place
